April Updates

April Showers Bring May Flowers.... So let it pour!!!!

April will be a short and yet busy month! All the weekends are jam-packed with activities ranging from Asia Fest, Prom, and Welcome Days. There aren't many announcements for April other than Prom and Spring Break. Be on the lookout for weekly (I will try my best) updates for and from hall activities and hall meetings.

It's Official!!!!
We are Guinness World Record Holders!!!! This past week, Guinness World Records' Representative announced that NCSSM (along with the Veterans Corps, WalMart and Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints) currently hold the world record for the most amount of food donated at a Food Drive in 24 hours at one location. Congratulations to all who were involved!

Asia Fest
A popular compilation of student-led Asian cultural performances will be on Saturday, April 2nd at 7pm. We expect to have lots of people in attendance, so please come early.

Prom
We are looking forward to a fantastic night as we "Escape to the Amazon!" Please remember that if you are staying off campus overnight, you MUST complete a Prom Overnight Form (found in the Prom Packet) and turn that in ASAP. Even if you are going home, I will still need to know so we can keep a record. If you plan to stay on campus, please consider attending NCSSM's After Prom celebration with breakfast from Honey's, games and movies.

Spring Break
In less than three weeks, NCSSM will close it's doors for Spring Break! Please remember to take home all winter clothing, and consider bringing home your large/unused furniture, clothing and supplies. After Spring Break, there will be one more extended until the end of the year.

Summer Service for Juniors
If you have not completed your summer service, now is a good time to begin looking for volunteer opportunities in and around your community. You are required to volunteer at one nonprofit organization for at least 60 hours during one summer. We ask that your volunteer service not be research. If you have any questions, please email me.
